Count Down!

26 weeks pregnant today! I am slowly beginning to implement calming measures in my daily life. I ain't gonna lie, juggling responsibilities on life's terms is no joke. As my body was beginning to break down, I realized I have to make a converted effort to bring serenity in my circle. I can only do so much and that is a lesson that I think Yahweh is trying to remind me of every minute.

Have you ever heard the saying, "it takes 2 weeks to make something a habit,"? Well, this week I started a few things. I actually started exercising DAILY! Well...I have continued doing West African dance since the beginning, but my body needs a bit more I think. I have reimplemented my regimen of ignoring the world until 8pm every night because that is my daughters time. Or should I say both my daughters ; ) We crochet, she reads to me, color, share our days, etc. It is simply healing.

I am doing all of this to recenter myself for the birth of my second child. I just want her to have as much of the same experience as my daughter had. I'm counting down without rushing the time. I just can't wait to see what she looks like. You know, our peoples genes, can be so amazing! Its beautiful to see the similarities and differences. I mean, will she have honey coated skin like my daughter when she first arrived? Different colored eyes? Look more like her Aba? its a mystery that we cannot wait to unfold. Yahweh grant me the strength to do this a second time peacefully, safely, and supported.
