A New Year & New Lessons

The New Year is here. 2006 already, can you believe it??? As usual, I had no special plans for New Years. I guess because it is just another day to me. However, I managed to make a spectacular evening out of it. My mom and I made a mad dash to Trader Joe's for some celebration wine and cider. While in Cali, we got to taste some fresh cloudberry ice cream of Norway and Muscat deBouliouieruuruurururur (blah blah blah) LOL. Can't really pronounce it, but it was the bomb desert wine and something French. Any hoo, I digress...we found the same bottle at TJ's!!! We also got the Cranberry and Berry sparkling cider for the virgin people in the house. Yeah, that includes me : (

My nephews came over later. We had "all the fun" as the oldest one once said to me. LOL! We watched the new Willi Wonka movie, had popcorn, apple pie with mango vanilla soy cream (they had no idea - I couldnt tell them or they wouldve x'd that out with the quickness). Of course, I took my traditional cat nap during the movie, until 2 little voices yelled out "Auntie TT, WAKE UPPPPPPPPP!!!" Just like Lawrence Fishburn in School Daze. So I peeled myself off the couch getting the "spirits" ready as we had about 3o min. We put on some music and danced the rest of the time. Next thing we knew...54321 Happy New Year!!!! Wow where did the time go? So the kids tried to do a little waltzing and cha cha cha as they clanked their wine glasses together. Pictures, more dancing, and phone calls...the lines were major jammed. Another hour and then I was like...LIGHTS OUT YALL! I know party pooper right? My body was screamin..."Bed take me away" But the night was blissful and peaceful! Here's to all the new lessons that I am nervous, but ready to embrace. Cheers!
