Slavery is Over

Today is my last day of work and while I celebrate it in my mind, the continual beauracracy makes me want to smack somebody. I acknowledge that not necessarily is one person at fault, but rather the holes in the paper trail that not many seem to understand. All I know is that its my last day and some how I got stuck planning refreshments/food for an orientation was notified about last week. Now here I am since 10am this morning running around from person to person trying to get one measely signature just to say "yes you can get the food". I could care less if people have food and drinks tonight because I am officially off the clock at 5pm forever. I understand that as administrative support this job falls in line with my responsibilities; however, that does not give senior management the right to ish on me giving me the lowly job simply because they dont want to deal with it or could care less their damn selves. When will we start truely acknowledging that we ALL play a part in the cycle of organizational progress, no matter how big or small your title is on the totem pole. I am relevant, important, and simply tired of the BS yall. Which is why I say "sianara, good riddens, hasta la vista baby!!!!" to it all. I am way more valuable than this and have so much more to bring to the table. Yahweh has finally seen fit to let me demonstrate that as I head off on my new adventure of nursing school and motherhood all at once. Peace out suckas and to the rat race of it all!!
