Superbowl Party...Back Again

So all weekend, I was gungho about the superbowl "party" at my house. I really don't know why I get so elated because I am by no means a football buff. The only time I get excited is if I am watching someone I know, trying to impress the hubby with how much I've learned, or watching him play (that's been since highschool- but he's back now yall!)

I think the excitement comes from being able to do something for my husband that supports his interests. Plus, I love having people over - although not many tend to do that since I live in Madagascar. LOL! The party was live and loud, but I think people enjoyed themselves. There were like 5 conversations going on at once. My mom helped clean the kitchen (thank heavens), children ran amuck, food was a winner, and I didn't spend my time pacing the floor (as I usually do). Instead I got my shouting intervals on when the game got interesting, talked with people, and even played a game of scrabble.

Now today...I am paying for it. I contemplated calling off until I realized I need to save as much time as possible for maternity leave should I remain at this hell hole. So my body woke at 4am - got up at 5:45am and headed out the door at 6:30am after preparing coffee for hubby and lunch/backpack for princess. I think I was a driving zombie. Needless to say...The 5am wake-ups are beginning to take its toll on a sista. Somewhere, my plan might have to change, but I dread staying at this place past 4pm with the imbeciles!
