This desert is a world of its own! I don't know how much longer I can stay here. Ok, so I went to the orientation for the only birth center out here. This was my second visit, but the first for hubby. He shared that he did not like the vibe, which I agreed with. After my girlfriends experience with them, it left a bad taste in my mouth. The nurse actually remembered me from that and asked how my friends birth went. I just had to keep it real, you know. She kind of just looked at me and said, "well YOU got a great experience right?" Excuse me?! That does not matter and its not the point AT ALL.
But what are my alternatives. I do not want a hospital birth unless I have too. So, my husband wants me to call my midwife from CA and talk to her. I need some guidance at this point, so I'll roll with the punches. So, I'll be back with the results of this tomorrow.

awww, that sucks! insha'allah, you will find an alternative that works best for you and the hubby. it is a shame that we don't have better birthing alternatives in this day and age. but if you do go to cali for the baby, i wanna come too (smile!)
