Beauty Today

Sitting in the hammock under the big green oak trees, listening to the wind blow, just LISTENING...
smelling the fresh air, dew and all...
laughing at the park with my girls while the children play together...
sipping on a glass of Port wine just before bed...
eating vine ripe fruits and veggies from the farm...
watching my daughter herd the sheep at dusk with no complaint and then harvest peppers...
a hug from my niece and nephew with a look in their eyes saying "dont go please"...
being able to breathe in all the goodness...
seeing the joy on my babies face because of all this greatness...
being distracted from the caos at home while I watch the blessing unfold from hours of prayer...
wishing I could just stay here forever, to turn the hours into endless days...
wanting to spend more than an hour with my loved ones here...
hearing my oldest play "mary had a little lamb" on the piano at 7:30am
All of these things make up the beauty of being HOME, california that is.
I pray that we are able to return for good by May 2010
