As my nephews passing stays on my mind daily, this brought so much joy to my heart. Living in such a caotic world its great to know that community support still lives on. He is one of my motivations to wake up every morning and go to nursing school - heal and care for the sick. Love you T-Rell! Miss you forever.
While we value all of our Robey families, one particular family has stood
out over the past few years. The Gladneys have been at the heart of our school
constantly showing the very essence of our mission and the Robey Way. There were
very few times you could walk on campus and not see Mr. or Mrs. Gladney. Even
though they worked outside of school, their time and energy went to serving all
Robey students through their volunteer work and the positive relationships they
built right from the opening of Barbara B Robey Elementary School. They were
celebrities on campus and many students worked hard to make them proud. Thank
you Gladneys for all you did for us!
We continue to try to make them proud
even though life circumstances have taken them to live near their family in
California. To honor the efforts of this family and their core beliefs in our
children, we have deemed the Robey Gym as Gladney Arena. Mr. Gladney in
particular spent many hours working with our kids and teaching them strong
character values through the use of sports. As we work to live up to the honored
name Mrs. Robey gives the school, it seemed only right to give a part of that
honor the Gladneys.
