It's Official

I am officially a walking contraction these days. I'm not sure if I was in denial or just thought they were warm up contractions. Yesterday I found myself perusing IKEA for 2.5hrs to finish up my last minute prep for the babies arrival as my stomach hardens every now and then. Whats more is that I thought it was just the baby changing position which she normally does. My doula looks at me and says...Tia, you're having contractions I think. How I am a doula and didnt figure this I will never know. A woman in pregnancy truely forgets many simple things. So the verdict is...my body is preparing itself for birth - thankfully without ANY discomfort at all. Well at least not yet. So now the betting is on. Everyone is putting in their bid for when I will have this prize of mine. Most think the weekend since I was deemed 3-4cm dialated on Friday. My midwife doesnt seem very concerned at all, so I am developing the same attitude. Mostly because the reality of labor has not set into my mind yet. I mean, I'm a soldier! But labor comes when you least expect it you know. So, today I feel the race for complete preparation, while still taking it easy. My list is decreased but I still have a FEW things to do. On your mark...get set...GO!!!
